INTRODUCTION

Evangelist Purushothaman had been a staunch leader of the Communist party actively participating in all its activities and labour movements for more than 25 years of his life. He was an elected representative and the district councilor of the party, serving it with deep involvement. In his public life, he did not concentrate much on being righteous, compassionate and humble. He was an extreme revolutionist. He did not even show any interest in marriage. Yet, the Lord who transformed Saul, the persecutor into Paul, the apostle, touched Sadhu Edward Purushothaman too, to become an evangelist for God.

He came to know more about Jesus Christ; studied the Bible with a deeper understanding and went about conducting convention meetings, giving thoughtful messages. He also writes books. Till now Sadhu has written 52 of God’s messages. His messages are prepared as VCDs and DVDs and are telecast. All those who worship various gods, are able to find out through his research work of the Holy Bible that there is only One God who created heaven, earth and all living creatures. They also realize that God sent His only begotten Son to save this world and by knowing the words of Jesus Christ and walking righteously, compassionately and submissively, they can eschew the transgressions, misunderstandings, divisions, caste prejudices, cultural differences and injustice which are seen among them and can live peacefully and happily in healthy harmony with each other. He has published this book with this fundamental truth as first message, for people to realize that God’s name is to be glorified.

All the people pray and supplicate just to satisfy their worldly needs, to raise their standard of living and to live a life without sicknesses. But what God actually asks from them, they do not give. If they satisfy His expectations, they need not be in a pathetic situation. What the Lord requires from humanity are justice, mercy and humility. Without these, any form of worship, prayers and intercessions are futile. When we glorify God by being just, showing compassion and walking humbly, everyone can be saved. Sadhu Edward Purushothaman has written this message very clearly in this book, that everyone can establish God’s kingdom and enter into heaven. I believe that those who read this book will be effectively touched by divine power. I pray that many would read this book and be benefited.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Millions of people in this world worship God in numerous ways, in their religious places and institutions. Each group has its own method of obeisance. In their desire to live a healthy life or to accomplish what they want, they seek the Lord through multifarious angles and pray to Him. They commit many mistakes, ask for forgiveness from Him and offer various sacrifices thinking that they are appeasing Him. After finishing such rituals, they imagine that everything is over and begin to sin again.

When the form of worship goes wrong, the sins of this world multiply and are increasing, while those who give caution about this to people are decreasing in number. The prophets chosen by God reveal the truth as truth and speak out the wrong things as wrong pointing out the defects that are to be rectified. They boldly open out with a challenging call for deliverance from bondages of sin.

Through the Prophet Micah, the Lord has spoken to His people. God enquires why they are going astray in spite of Him helping them abundantly. Even if they perform burnt offerings and sacrifices, the Lord says that He can never be pacified by them. He says that according to the scriptural verses, if they show justice, mercy, cordial affection and come into His precious presence, He will bless them allowing them to enter heaven.

By knowing the only God, who created the whole universe and by knowing Jesus Christ, the Son of God who was sent to this world for the salvation of mankind, by exercising justice, showing compassion to each other and being clothed with humility, the people of this earth can live in unity without any guile and bring glory to the name of the Lord. This fundamental fact is the message put forward splendidly by Sadhu Edward Purushothaman. I pray that God’s people must realize that these are the last days and by reading this book, they should get united, escape the wrath of God and inherit the eternal kingdom of God.

FOREWORD

25 years of my life passed off by being an active leader of the Communist party and the labour unions. I had won many elections and was chosen the representative of the people. Such a person was I, when the Lord chose me for His ministry. Millions of thanks to God who exalted me like this.

Since I was intensively involved in the communist party activities, I had forgotten to get married even. Hence now I am able to dedicate my life completely to the Lord and am writing books after an in-depth study of the Bible and the research of its historical background. I am also doing ministry by going to many places to give messages. The Lord graciously showing me many revelations and visions.

In Kerala state, a vast river passes through Vandiperiyar, surrounded by tea plantations. On the banks of this river, I have built a ‘prayer tabernacle’ and am conducting worship services. The Lord blessed me to write 52 messages, a message per week. These messages are being released through VCDs. Many view them and are being effectively touched in their hearts.

Faithful believers of God are diligently praying because they are sure that these are the end times. My messages are written and published only about the last days. I have firm faith that these messages will be of more use to the servants of God and believers.

Those who worship God, practise various methods of worship. There are two thousand five hundred religions in this world professing the name of God. These religions function in different ways, work against each other and they ruin this world. In whatever way a man worships God, or offers sacrifices, if he does not have justice, mercy and meekness in him, he cannot be considered pious. Though he worships God, he becomes worthless.

If all people serve God with righteousness, compassion and humility, sin cannot enter into this world. If human beings live in unity, they can receive God’s blessings to form His Kingdom on earth and live gloriously. Although God’s own people, the Israelites were bestowed with many blessings, without obeying the law of the Lord, they sacrificed rams, cattle and all species of birds in the temple of God for their sins. Thinking that they had accomplished their duty, they went astray.

The Lord judges them from His judgement throne. “With what shall I come before the Lord and bow myself before the High God? Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old? Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams or ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6: 6 - 8).

God expects only justice, mercy and humility from everyone who worships Him. With the fundamental principle found in Micah 6: 6 – 8, I have prepared this message that whoever worships the Lord should cling to a righteous, compassionate and a submissive life, dispelling all divisions, misunderstandings, narrow minded cultures, injustice and should get united with all human beings and live a life of glory to God’s Name, forming the kingdom of God and escaping His severe punishment. As these are the last days, I pray that the message should be read completely, intently and be touched to live a life of witness for Jesus Christ.

MESSAGE – 1

WHAT DOES THE LORD EXPECT FROM YOU TO BLESS YOU ?

GOD CREATED EVERYTHING ON THIS EARTH FOR MAN

TO BE BLESSED.

The One only God created Heaven, earth and all the living beings in it. He supplies food through the plant species and fruit yielding trees. He has provided lands, oceans, birds and all living creatures moving about on this planet (the earth), for man to rule over; He has given him soil, air and water; He has offered wide space of firmament for man to fly about; sun, moon and stars are created to brighten this earth. All the facilities required for an enjoyable life are bestowed upon us in an abundant measure. But people are being so foolish, not knowing how to utilize the opportunities provided. They are disobedient to the Lord’s commandments. We are not walking in mutual harmony between each other and by following wrong ways, they spoil the sanctity that is required to gladden our God the Father and they allow themselves to be punished by the wrath of God.

All human beings do worship God through natural instinct. They approach God for their own wellbeing, upliftment and to satisfy their own lustful desires. Finally, they land up in nurturing prejudiced views, misunderstandings, cast differences, strife, narrow minded traditions and unjust behaviours. They go astray from God with estranged feelings and lose sight of their holy ways of life. In the name of God, they establish different churches, religions, rituals and institutions to offer sacrifices and give gifts. But what the Lord Almighty wants from His people is only a penitent obedience to His words, laws and commands. He asks them to keep His statutes and principles, to have friendly relationship with each other, to show a compassionate concern, mercy and humble manners with all alike. Thus, they can establish the kingdom of God on this earth.

So in accordance to God’s precious will, let us dedicate ourselves by understanding, instructing and comforting one another with sincere love. Thus, we shall glorify the name of the Lord. All of you love to do good to your children and bring them up to elevated positions in this world. If you, then being evil, give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who created this Heaven, earth and all living creatures, grant your requests? Therefore whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the law and the prophets. (Matthew 7:11, 12).

At this juncture, as an example, let me tell you a soul stirring story. A man who had good knowledge about God lived a life receiving benefits from many people, while he on his own did not do anything for others and lived selfishly. Ultimately, he found himself in the bottomless pit because of the Lord’s punishment. There are many who lived like him sharing his plight. Longing to get free this man, this man pleaded with God for forgiveness. One day, being merciful to him, the Lord dropped a lengthy rope into the pit and told him to climb up. He climbed up the rope. At that time, many who were with him started climbing the rope behind him. Half way up the rope, he thought that he was the only one who had prayed unceasingly pleading for pardon and thereby found God’s favour and therefore he was climbing up towards freedom. Yet, these people were also following him up. In order to make them fall down, he used his pocket knife to cut the part of the rope that was below him. Before that, the one following him jumped and clung to his feet and the next one clung to the feet of the one above him. This process continued. By the time the part of the rope that was cut dropped down, all of them together fell back into the deep hell (Hades). The Lord said to him, “When you could climb up towards freedom, why not they also? Why did you cut the rope? When I was so merciful to you, should you not be merciful to the others? You have done a mistake. Hell is the rightful place for you” so saying the Lord left him.

When the Lord shows compassion to someone, he / she should also show compassion to others. This is what we need to know from this story.

Therefore, we should love mercy. We should be compassionate and humble towards others. We should walk humbly with the fear of the Lord. You obey your worldly authorities with fear and trembling because they provide you for your worldly needs. When such is the case how much more submissive should you be towards the awesome God who answers all your prayers! You should submit yourselves to obey His will.

CLOTHE YOURSELVES WITH HUMILITY.

Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble” Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time. (I Peter 5: 5,6)

My dear children of God, humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil; then he will flee from you. Those who are double minded, obeying God and mammon, and not serving God alone wholeheartedly will go through disasters, sorrows, difficulties and sicknesses. The reason is that the devil brings all such mishaps on them. They linger in highways. They choose neither to follow the narrow road nor the broad road too. Therefore these double minded people should purify their hearts.

You examine yourselves with lament, mourning and weeping. Return to the path of God. Then you will be blessed and be lifted up by Him. (James 4: 9,10). You, young people in the church, submit yourselves to the elders. Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God that He may exalt you in due time.

True illustrative worship of God in the church can be only by surrendering completely to Christ. Christ’s love is exposed through the concern we show towards our fellowmen. Let me tell you a story explaining this spiritual truth. In a certain village due to famine, the people suffered from hunger and starvation. An evangelist of God went to that village, gathered all the villagers together, had a tasty meal prepared and laid it before them in a vessel. He told them to eat as much as they needed. But, he kept before them only one condition. While eating, they should have their elbows stretched. The bewildered villagers murmured saying that already they were starving and hungry. Under such a circumstance why was it that they were expected to experience such a testing situation.

The servant of God made it clear that eating sufficiently well is quite possible if they had love and concern for their neighbours and feed each other without their elbows being bent. Then the Almighty God will support them and lead them on without starvation. Likewise, they fed each other without bending their elbows. Genuine love and concern for each other were instilled into the hearts of all the villagers. The Evangelist of God preached to these people, through this episode and led them practically in the path of faith.

Jesus Christ said to the Scribes and Pharisees, “Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law; justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.” Mathew 23:23) God’s Kingdom can be formed only through justice, righteousness, mercy, faith and humility.

GOD DECLARES JUSTICE.

Although the Lord has showered countless blessings on His children, they yield themselves to temptations and get perverted. He places His children, the Israelites, on the accusers’ box lets them answer an enquiry thus, O my people, what have I done to you? And how have I wearied you? Testify against me.

For I brought you up from the land of Egypt.I redeemed from the house of bondage; And I sent before you Moses, Aaron and Miriam. O My people, remember now what Balak king of Moab counseled, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him, from Acacia Grove to Gilgal, that you may know the righteousness of the Lord.

With what shall I come before the Lord, and bow myself before the High God ? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old?

Will the LORD be pleased with thousand of rams or ten thousands rivers of oil ? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6: 3 - 8).

Then Balak said to Balaam, “What have you done to me? I took you to curse my enemies, and look, you have blessed them bountifully!” So he answered and said, “Must I not take heed to speak what the LORD has put in my mouth?” (Numbers 23: 11, 12) The mighty God who heaped the waters flowing from shittim, east of Jordan to Gilgal west of it, and divided it off for the people to cross over to Jericho, did he not show His goodness to you in all these situations? (Joshua 3: 15-17). Having hurt the magnanimous heart of God through your transgressions, will He be pleased with thousand of rams, one year old calf, additional offerings, or even the first born fruit of your body? Do you think that they are enough for the propitiation of your sins? ”

I have shown you what is good for you. You should present your bodies as a living sacrifice. He has sent His only Son once for all, to offer Himself for your iniquities. (Hebrews 7: 27). The righteous God of Justice expects only a penitent repentance of sins and a complete surrender to Him. What is the use of sprinkling the blood of cattle and birds on the built altars if you do it for duty’s sake? Man becomes a failure if he thinks that every sin is wiped out forever and goes back to his wrong ways again. The only thing that God wants from you is justice, righteousness, mercy, humility and faith. What God asks of us is keeping His commandments, diligently, heeding to His statutes and being friendly with all the others with gentle meekness.

What God revealed through Moses, in those days, was that there was no justice in the society no mercy and no devotion towards Him. While the Lord Jesus Christ vehemently condemned the Scribes and Pharisees for they stress only on outward rituals and meaningless lives during Old Testament days, He told them to observe and walk in His ordinances, laws, commandments and statutes. Conducting worship as a worldly routine has no meaning at all. There should be a turning point in life.

The people of Israel cannot justify their bad ways, when they are judged by God. Do they have any right to put aside the Lord of the covenant and disobey Him? We can have a look at the charges that the Lord lists out against them from the Biblical verses.

“Now hear this, you heads of the house of Jacob and rulers of the houses of Israel, who abhor justice and pervert all equity,

Who build up Zion with bloodshed and Jerusalem with iniquity;

Her heads judge for a bribe, her priests teach for pay, and her prophets divine for money. Yet they lean on the LORD, and say, “Is not the LORD among us? No harm can come upon us.”

Therefore because of you Zion shall be plowed like a field, Jerusalem shall become heaps of ruins, and the mountain of the temple like the bare hills of the forest. (Micah 3: 9-12).

Although the Lord brings out all the transgressions and iniquities of his Children, he asks them whether He has forsaken them in any way. Was it His mistake that they did not listen to His voice? Did He leave them forsaken or did He desert them without pouring His love on them? Israel has no reason or excuse to answer His query. God has been proud about them and loved them with an everlasting love. The Lord bombards with the above given questions to all those who follow Satan turning their backs to their Father God. They choose to follow the lustful ways of the world, abandoning the Almighty God and become traitors to Him.

Our Lord anticipates from us a dedicated submission and a deep involvement in good deeds. We should maintain justice and live a life of integrity. We should become modest. We must show sympathy and mercy. God’s love is quite visible in us, only through affection we share with all the people of His creation.

The Israelites transgressed against the words, ways, commandments, statutes, judgments, and ordinances of the law of God. This reminds us of their betrayal of faith in the powerful God.

HE WHO HUMBLES HIMSELF WILL BE EXALTED.

Also spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others.

Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.

The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God I thank you that I am not like other men - extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector.

‘I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess’

And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying , ‘God be merciful to me a sinner!

“I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be abased and he who humbles himself will be exalted” (Luke 18 : 9-14)

Those who humble themselves before God confess their sins, ask for forgiveness and intercede with the Lord, get forgiven and they are exalted. The Israelites were unmoved and as they exalted their own selves, they became debased.

The Psalmist confesses the iniquities and the disloyal actions of the Israilites and also pleads with the Lord to give them one more chance to repent, so that He could grant them a wholesome remission of sins, perfect redemption and favour them with songs of joyful blessings.

That I may see the benefit of your chosen ones, that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation, that I may glory with your inheritance.

We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.

Our fathers in Egypt did not understand your wonders; they did not remember the multitude of your mercies, but rebelled by the sea-the Red Sea.

Nevertheless He saved them for His name’s sake, that He might make His mighty power known.

He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it dried up; So He led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.

He saved them from the hand of him who hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

The waters covered their enemies; there was not one of them left.

Then they believed His words; they sang his praise.

They soon forgot His works; they did not wait for His counsel,

But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tested God in desert.

And He gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.

(Psalm 106: 5- 15)

“Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the Gentiles, to give thanks to your holy name, and to triumph in your praise.

Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting! and let all the people say, Amen” ( Psalm 106 : 47,48 )

God’s children should confess their transgressions and iniquities before the Lord. When we remember our soul’s defeated state and turn back to God, revival and restoration take place. Looking back is not always satisfying. Many times the past shocks us. Faithful worshippers and followers of God fall down prostrate at the feet of the Holy God, without any hesitation, and cry out desperately for pardon. They would not dare to be proud (haughty). When we make an effort to thank God, we are automatically led to cry out him for forgiveness. How magnificent God’s grace is.

THE KINGDOM OF GOD

In Psalm 97, five important features of our GOD’s kingdom are brought out.

  1. Clouds and darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundations of His throne. (Ps. 97 : 2)

  1. A fire goes before Him, and burns up His enemies round about. (Ps. 97 : 3)

  1. His lightnings light the world; the earth sees and trembles. (Ps. 97 : 4 )

  1. The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. (Ps. 97 : 5 )

  1. The heavens declare His righteousness, and all the people see His glory. (Ps. 97:6)

Moreover, this Psalm talks about the righteous and holy people who truly love the GOD

You who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.

Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. (Psalm 97: 10 – 12)

The God redeems the soul of His servants and keeps their soul out of the hand of the wicked. A faithful believer abides in Christ. Christ dwells in him. He likes whatever Jesus Christ likes and is displeased by whatever Christ is displeased with.

THE PUNISHMENT AS THE OUTCOME OF SIN

Many people who so far have not heard of the only living God who has created Heaven, Earth and all living beings come to know of Him and are saved. Yet King David who had already personally known the God was dragged into sin. Uriah, the Hittite, was a mighty warrior in David’s kingdom, and Uriah’s wife Bathsheba was beautiful to behold. David gave up God’s justice and mercy. His lust in the flesh urged him to treat her as his own wife. Through strategic planning, he even murdered Uriah. Thus, David gave himself to suffer the punishment of the Lord. He and his family had to languish in agony.

Then it happened on evening that David arose from his bed and walked on the roof of the King’s house. And from the roof he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to behold. ….. Then David sent messengers, and took her, and she came to him, and he lay with her, for she was cleansed from he impurity; and she returned to her house. And the woman conceived; (2 Samuel 11: 2- 5).

David desperately pleads to God with repentance and intercedes for pardon. Still, the family receives its due atonement for the iniquities. David own son, Ammon spoilt the chastity of his sister, Tama, David’s daughter. (2 Samuel 13: 1, 14 , 20:20-22 ). His own son was killed by another son. (2 Samuel 13: 21, 29). Absalom, David’s son conspired strongly against his father raised his sword against him and David had to flee away from his throne at Jerusalem. (2 Samuel 15: 13, 14). David another son, Adonjah who aspired to be king was put to death by King Solomon. (1 Kings 2: 45, 46 & 47). Absolam, David’s son, went in to his father’s concubines in the sight of all Israel. (2 Samuel 16: 22). Young armed soldiers of David surrounded Absalom, struck and killed him. (2 Samuel 18: 15). These were the reasons why David cries out to God with a broken and contrite heat to blot out his transgressions, iniquities, sins and wickedness.

When he is forgiven, he is affirms that he is washed whiter than snow. Snow is frozen ice; it is clean, pure, and white. He promises a righteous life in the sprit. With tears, cleansed heart and steadfast sprit he requests God not to cast him away from His presence, not to take His Holy Sprit away from him. King David asks for the restoration of the joy of his salvation and for upholding him with His generous Spirit. He says to God “Deceitful men shall not live out half their days. But I will trust you” (Psalm 55:23) He also said that he believed and had perfect faith on the Lord.

WHOEVER CONFESSES SIN ANDFORSHAKES THEMWILL BE BLESSED

The spiritual teaching that this psalm confers on us is great. Any cowardly person falls into sin. Yet, a forthright confession of the transgression and a contrite submission is attributed only to a spiritual hero. Opening up the rotten, stinking heart to God is not possible for an ordinary believer. Such a convicted confession necessitates sufficient readiness to accept the shameful experiences of sin. Emerging perfectly away from sin and its bad effects after a thorough confession and contrition establishes a divine visionary life.

For a few people, sin is a recreation. Some others treat sin as their friend. These people can never hate sin. One can completely eradicate that rotten sin only through a spiritual dependence on God and by looking at everything through God’s angle.

After committing sin, many people try to wipe it out through idol worship; they seek alcoholic addictions; many give lavish offerings, numerous donations which can never ever blot away their sins. Such rituals will add to more sins. The only remedy is through the sacred blood sacrifice of the only son of the God, the Almighty. Running to Him and pleading for forgiveness is the one and only solution for redemption.

What is confession of sin? Is it only saying to Him, “Lord, I have sinned”. No, never. This is what King Saul and disciple Judas did. Then Saul said to Samuel, “I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD and your words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice. Now therefore, please pardon my sin, and return with me, that I may worship the LORD”. But Samuel said to Saul, “I will not return with you, for you have rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD has rejected you from being King over Israel.” (1 Samuel 15: 24- 26)

Judas, Jesus’ betrayer, said to the chief priests and elders saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood”. And they said, “What is that to us? You see to it!”.

Then he threw down the pieces of silver in the temple and departed, and went and hanged himself. (Matthew 27 : 4 & 5)

King Saul sinned having violated the commandment of God and he killed himself. Judas sinned by betraying the innocent blood and he hanged himself. Saul was the first King of Israelites. The Lord had told Samuel, the prophet, to anoint Saul as King over His inheritance. Becoming exceedingly proud, he himself performed an unlawful sacrifice. In the battle he fought against the Amalakites, he spared the life of the Kind of Amalakites, without giving heed to the words of Samuel. Thus he lost the grace of God. The Lord rejecting the Kingdom of Saul, gave it away to David. Saul losing his confidence in God and the prophets, sought the advice of a soreceress. This resulted in the murder of him and his children during the battle against the Philistines. They were killed without finding a remedial solution.

Judas was one of the 12 disciples of Jesus. Yet, being coveteous for thirty pieces of silver, he betrayed Jesus. Unable to find any kind of restitution for his sin, he went and hanged himself. But, King David confessing that he had transgressed against God pleaded to Him for pardon. Though God punished him, He restored him giving him free forgiveness. All misgivings should be acknowledged only before God’s presence. When we commit sin against a human being, we sin against the creator of that person. We should not equate ourselves with Saul who committed iniquity and went on putting forth excuses. The Lord’s distressing spirit came upon Saul. Enthroned on the seat gifted by God, he was controlled by an evil spirit. This was a direct contradictory life.

Nevertheless, David did not show an inkling of hesitation to openly reveal his faults. He did not even keep them within himself. He placed them before God in the form of penitent prayer songs. All his sins were rooted out completely. His mode of repentance is cautioning and challenging to us. Today, God searches for sinners who are presumptuous spiritual heroes attempting him risky hazardous methods of bold confessions wiping out all stains of sin. Will you be ready to throw away all cowardliness during confession of sin?

LOVE AND MERCY WILL RESTORE YOU.

For humble believers to live in abounding love and grace, and to glorify our Maker who longs for humility from the faithfully children of Jesus Christ, Apostle Paul teaches about unity through Humility in the following verses.

Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord of one mind.

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form God, did not consider it robbery to the equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a servant, and coming in the likeness of men.

And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Wherefore my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling ; (Philippians 2 : 1 – 12)

Apostle Paul exhorts believers to be like minded having the same love. Without haughtiness they should esteem others better than themselves and love their neighbours as themselves. Being of one accord, they should serve God with all their heart, soul and mind. They have to pray in agreement with each other bringing glory to the name of the Lord.

JESUS CHRIST THOUGH EQUAL TO GOD

HUMBLED HIMSELF.

Jesus Christ, although He was equal with God, did not take on this honour on Himself. He took the form of a lowly a servant and came in the likeness of men. He humbled Himself in lowliness of mind and therefore God exalted Him. At the name of Jesus every knee bows and every tongue confesses that Jesus Christ is Lord. Those who have faith in Him should live in meekness like Him.

He said, “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11: 29.

He washed the feet of His disciples, exactly like a servant. He said “If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you”. (John 13: 14& 15).

He submitted himself to whatever situation He was placed in. When He was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously. (I Peter 2: 23). Yet God highly exalted Him over everything. He gave Him the name above all names. Lowly Jesus was raised to great heights by God.

This wicked world has no regard for simple and humble people. Simple minded people are simply cheated. But, the Bible gives priority to the humble. The essential requirement for redemption is humility. Those who give importance to lowly of the heart give prominence to our Great God. Whatever, they are involved in, they glorify God.

The forerunner of Jesus, John the Baptist, lowered himself so much before Jesus and said, “You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but I have been sent before Him.

He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore this joy of mine is fulfilled. (John 3: 28 & 29) John, the Baptist decreases allowing Christ to increase.

Jesus Christ most assuredly says, “The Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. (John 5: 19).

Jesus said to Philip, “Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. (John 14: 10)

Though being Jesus Christ’s messenger preparing the way of the Lord, John the Baptist, exalts Jesus Christ as mightier than him. Faithful followers of God will not glorify themselves. “He who glories, let him glory in the LORD”. (2 Corinthians 10: 17) We are not capable of doing any good things without getting help from others. The Lord prunes every branch of vine that bears fruit. The branch that cannot bear fruit is cut off and thrown away. Likewise God protects, those who abide in Him and punishes those that are not steadfastly attached to Him. He has regard for the lowly state of His people. He dwells with them and is gracious to them.

For thus says the High and Lofty one who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of contrite ones. (Isaiah 57: 15). God resists the proud. A faithful minister of God serves Him with a contrite and a humble spirit. Apostle Paul declares about his ministry to the Lord as follows “Serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears and trails which happened to me by the plotting of the Jews.” (Acts 20: 19). The significant human spirit that cannot be avoided in this world, is Pride; it is not humility for human beings.

God, the Father and Christ, the Son were one. Jesus Christ, before He was born, after He came into this world as Man and after He ascended into Heaven, He is equal to God. The Bible clearly brings out this thought.

“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us”. (Matthew 1: 23)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. (John 1: 1 - 3).

Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” (John 8: 58)

“Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which you have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. ( John 17 : 24 )

Thomas answered and said unto Him, “My Lord and my God ! ” ( John 20 : 28)

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities of powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. (Colossians 1 : 15-17)

“For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given ; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”. ( Isaiah 9 : 6).

Jesus Christ also said, “ I and My Father are one” (John 10 : 30 )

Jesus said to Philip, Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father? (John 14: 9 )

Jesus did not consider it to be equal with God at all. To redeem the whole humanity, He gave Himself as a living sacrifice; He cast away His Heavenly Honour and reputation. He abandoned all His position, power, riches, rights, diving nature and emptied Himself completely.

When Jesus, preached He said, “For Who is greater, he who sits at the table or he who serves? Is it not he who sits at the table? Yet I am among you as the One who serves” (Luke 22: 27).

When Apostle Paul preached, he said, “ For You know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich” (2 Corinthians 8 : 9 )

The author of Hebrews, the Apostle, preached and said, “though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered and having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, called by God as High Priest “according to the order of Melchizedek”. (Hebrews 5 : 8 – 10 ).

He was dejected and rejected by men. He voluntarily took on Himself our griefs, sorrows, tortures, insults and even cruel death on the Cross; He took the form of a slave. “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. (Hebrews 4: 15)

BE A WITNESSES IN JESUS CHRIST

As the body is one and has many members, the believers of His words are the body of Christ and they should have the same care for one another testifying truth with one another and walk in that truth. Though you get provoked by your defaulters, do not let the sun go down on your wrath. Whenever you get angry, the devil will dare to make use of you to sin, to murder or to use foul language. Therefore people should not give way to satan’s inducing them to make money through crooked ways and to live an over- sumptuous life. They use crafty methods to over rule the others, by grabbing their freedom, rights and possessions. You should work hard, live with integrity and be able to show brotherly love giving a helping hand to those who are in need.

When you converse with people, avoid corrupt communication, but talk what is good for necessary edification that it may impart grace to the hearers. Those who are filled with the Holy Spirit, are able to submit themselves to undergo sorrow and torments just like Jesus. But such people are tortured by oppositions in this wicked world.

Jesus despite revealing the powerful words of God and performing signs and wonders, had to meet with cruel treatment by vicious people. He laments over Jerusalem as follows: “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! (Matthew23:37)

…when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “ Stretch out your hand”. And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other. Then the Pharisees went out and immediately plotted with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him (Mark3:5,6). Therefore a believer of God guided by the Holy Spirit, has to be a partaker of the sorrow and grief experienced by Jesus Christ. Yet the Lord will not leave him forsaken; He will surely protect him.

GRIEVE NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT

When even the believing evangelists sometimes, are not able to feel the presence of God or to give heed to the words of the Holy Spirit and despise Him, they grieve the Holy Spirit and make Him sorrowful. Therefore “Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish (Galatians 5: 16, 17).

Grieving the Holy Spirit means that we turn against Him. “You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you” (Acts 7:51). quenched not the spirit(I Thessalonians 5:19). “Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come” (Matthew12: 31,32).

The Bible gives account of the activities of those who are agonistic to the Spirit of God as follows:- they abuse Him, speak lies against Him, rise up against Him, put Him to shame and corrupt His Name. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God under foot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing and insulted the Spirit of grace? (Hebrews 10: 29).

When we receive the Holy Spirit into our hearts, He makes our bodies, His temple and He dwells in us. “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” (I Cor 6:19).

He is not a person just coming in and going out of our prayer meetings and church services. But He descends mightily on our daily activities also. “Samson went down to Timnah with his father and mother, and came to the vineyards of Timnah. Now to his surprise, a young lion came roaring against him. And the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and he tore the lion apart as one would have torn apart a young goat, though he had nothing in his hand. But he did not tell his father or his mother what he had done (Judges14:5, 6).

“Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon him mightily, and he went down to Ashkelon and thirty of their men, took their apparel, and gave the changes of clothing to those who had explained the riddle. So his anger was aroused, and he went back up to his father’s house ( Judges14: 19). Therefore His anointment remains with us forever. He has sealed us and given us His Spirit in our hearts as a deposit and a guarantee. It will not depart from us. “ In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory” (Ephesians1:13,14).

He protects us with a great concern. “ But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you” (Romans8:11). He is involved in our daily routine too. So it is our bounden duty to live without hurting His feelings. While having Him abiding in our hearts, it is not right to disobey His words.

FAITHFUL MINISTRY

Our Lord gives power to every minister in their ministry. His mighty power is poured on all ministers of God who obey His commandments, laws, judgements and statutes. To those who labour just for this world, wealth, leadership, a comfortable easy going life and for earning a personal livelihood, neglecting God’s words, Satan’s, the ruler of this world’s, power is given. Through them, disbelief grows amidst the human race; unity is disturbed. Sin raises its ugly head. They exalt themselves; they talk of popularity and widely advertise themselves. Satan’s temporary waning powers are exercised. They praise themselves saying that they are God’s miracle workers.

Yet, the Apostles of Christ hate this world, give heed to God’s words and work accordingly, they have received the power and authority of our Lord. With this mighty power they preached the Gospel and performed signs and wonders. They said that the excellence of their might was from God, and it was not of them. They said that they had this treasure in earthen vessels. Earthen vessels are not good to look at. Yet the treasure which they hold never gets spoilt. In age old days, our ancestors used to preserve their treasure in such clay pots. Going through the lapse of thousand of years, they were received safely without any damage. They last for many days. The false prophets without preserving the words of God in their bodies, the earthen vessels, get deceived and discontinue their ministers, and break down just like that clay pots. With this fact in mind Paul emphasizes that Christ lives in our hearts. It means that the treasure of the everlasting well protected words are hid in our bodies.

The excellence of the earthen pot is glorified through the treasure that it preserves. As the Prophet Jeremiah asserts in (Jeremiah 18: 6 ), the Apostles are in the Hand of the Mighty God, just as the clay is in the potter’s hand. So they receive and preserve the power of God within their bodies, the earthen vessels. The one who cannot preserve the power of God in his / her body, breaks like a clay pot. Such a servant of God, loses his everlasting ministry and breaks into pieces. They are false ministers who cannot serve God long.

Like the immortal treasure which is preserved in clay pots, God’s words should be safely kept in our bodies, the earthen vessels. Because at the last trumpet sound, the dead will be raised incorruptible and the bodies of the mortals must be transformed to immortality. Mortality will be swallowed by life, through the sprit of the Lord. Unprotected sinful bodies join with the spirit of flesh arising from the grave and will be cast into the lake of fire forever and ever. Hence those who have received the abundant Power of God should not give room to uncleanness but present their bodies holy and acceptable to God, as a treasure preserved in earthen vessels.

The followers of Christ, sometimes find themselves broken like clay pots, whenever they are assailed by sorrows helplessness, weakness and fear. Yet they do not get defeated because they possess a divine treasure hidden in their hearts. Hence, Apostle Paul says, “ For indeed, when we came to Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side. Outside were conflicts, inside were fears. Nevertheless God who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus” (2 Corinthians 7: 5, 6)

THE GOD IS OUR COMFORTER

God, the Father comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. ( 2 Corinthians 1 : 4 ).

For those who believe in the Lord, He is a God of all comfort. Christianity not only removes the weakness, or reveals the power of the Almighty, it also shows out the mysterious power of God through the human weaknesses. When Paul felt without strength God said to him. “My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness”. Therefore Paul says, “Most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (2 Corinthians 12: 9). He means that in the midst of sorrow, we are victorious through the might and mercy of our loving Lord. We can never ever get away from the grip of His love. We will win. St. Paul says “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter”. Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. ( Romans 8 : 35 – 37 ). Our weaknesses, miseries, trials and tribulations, open up the doors of God’s grace to flow freely over us. They permit the energy of God’s immortal life breathing out through our mortal bodies. Apostle Paul feels the great strength of God enthusing him even when he is physically weak and declares. “Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12: 10 )

If you are presently tasting the exuberant anointed experience of the power of Chrsit, any kind of sadness, sickness or sorrowful situation is not in the least affecting your successful spiritual life. When outward symptoms of prosperity, completely disappears from this earthly life, your strong faith and hope expand beyond bounds, flourishing you with God’s boundless power. Whatever the circumstance may be our loving Lord will never leave us. Has He not said, ......“ I will never leave you nor forsake you? (Hebrews 13: 5)

The Apostles have openly asserted that they always carried about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus and that the life Jesus also might be manifested in their bodies. Faithful believers who long for the life of Jesus, will also long for the body of the dying Lord.

Such chosen people, will not betray Him even in their worst tribulations; they will even accept to become His martyrs. In the last days, those who do not have number 666 are sure to be murdered. Possessors of that number will be safely let loose. Only then, the number of the faithful believers will be correctly detected. Those who accept the life and the death of Jesus, become the same minded sect of believers.

Those who prefer only the risen Christ and not the dying Christ, are double minded and unbelievers. Such people are unable to bring glory to His Name. They cannot live a life of challenges. They flee away at critical times. They cannot be sacrificial. How can they stand before the judgement throne to answer the question that the Lord asks them?

When the ministers of God preach about the abundant life of Jesus, they should also preach people to be partakers of His tribulations and His death. Our present self denials, sufferings and sacrifices for the sake of Christ refines our faith to increase in its value and causes the hearers to give glory to Christ “ because for to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe Him, but also to suffer for His sake”,

(Philippians 1: 29).

If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified. (1 Peter 4: 14)

“Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. (John 12: 24, 25).

THE MINISTRY IS ESTABLISHING GOD’S KINGDOM

Jesus Himself chooses His servants for His Ministry. He tells them how they should behave in this world. They are exhorted to have the strength to establish God’s Kingdom on the earth. Leaders and Evangelist should live a witnessing life; they should be ready to endure all hardships, griefs, mental pains and oppositions.

God’s servants should love peace, carry out righteousness and exercise fair judgements ; be simple minded and compassionate. Many times Jesus teaches His servant to shine like lights in the world and like lamps in their homes.

Then a certain scribe came and said to Him, “Teacher I will follow you wherever you go” and Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head (Matthew 8: 19, 20); because those who follow Him and minister to Him cannot have a comfortable life in this world. When Jesus said to a man who wanted to follow Him wherever He goes, “Follow Me”, but the man replied, “ Lord, let me first go and bury my father”. Jesus said to him, “ Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God” (Luke9:59,60). Another who would follow the Lord said, “Lord, I will follow you but let me first bid them farewell who are at my house”. But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God” (Luke9:61,62). The Lord appointed seventy such people also, and sent them two by two for continuing His mission.

It is essential to send two by two, as ambassadors for Christ, because the combined effort of sharing ideas and experiences, enhances wisdom and intensifies their faith in God. This companionship helps and encourages each other. Together they can discuss and rectify their defects; one can be a witness to the other one’s activities; encountering and defeating the evil spirits become an associated effort; repeated pleading by either of them might melt the hearts; forgotten facts may be reminded with mutual help; they uphold each other in prayer; the act of mercy is revealed in turns.

When Jesus quoted that the harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few, He cautioned the believers that the spirit which is in man is of great value and it is eternal; They have to know that eternity is spent either in heaven or in hell; Had anyone informed the gospel to the lost souls during their life time, many could have been saved.

There are multitudes of people in this world asking for intercessory prayers. When they are expounded about the truth and the kingdom of God, a few receive salvation. Those who, due to utter ignorance, worship various gods in different ways are plenty in number. When they are preached about the kingdom of God, they will understand the truth.

When it is said that the apostles should pray to the Lord of the harvest, to send out labourers, there is a revelation of the spiritual doctrine of God. Before beginning His handiwork, the Lord expects human beings to request Him to start His mighty deeds. Only after they express their wish, He completes His mighty works. God is One who intently listens to His people’s prayers. Jesus expects His labourers in the vineyard to be involved in teaching and preaching about God’s royal reign. They should be able to cast out the evil spirits.

When the Lord Jesus says, “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves (Matthew 10:16), He declares that those believers who labour obeying the perfect will of God must be wise to understand that they have to face terrorism and scornful reproaches and are unable to protect themselves. The scribes, Pharisees and priests along with the religious fanatics rise against them like devouring wolves against the timid lambs. With a clear perception of this fact, without getting frightened, these stewards of God should diligently pray and labour for the Lord.

When the evangelists go out for ministering to the Lord, their aim should not be either drawing people by giving money and other worldly possessions or with fear of their expenses on daily needs. They are advised by Jesus not to carry money bag, daily requirements or spare sandals and to greet no one along the road lest they may at times create hindrances to their calling (Luke10:4).

When they carry money bag, daily requirements or spare sandals, they tend to get distracted, keep aside the thoughts of God having these worldly possessions occupying their minds; moreover on the way the robbers might attack them, strip them of their belongings, wound them and run away. What happened to the man who went to Jericho in Luke 10:30, should not happen to them. He wants them to avoid such mishaps.

GOD’S WORDS BRING PEACE

Jesus said, “Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house’” (Luke10:5). Moreover they should greet the household with words of peace, because those who have lost their peace affected through various reasons may feel cheered by them. There is no peace in Satan’s kingdom. Always there are confusions, strife, cheatings and unjust treatments going on. But among those who establish God’s reign on this earth, there will be peace, joy, unity, righteousness and sanctity. When they convey peace to a family, the household gets encouraged to receive them and to give a listening ear to their words of peace. They would jointly pray with them; they would be healed of their diseases, with their mutual prayer of agreement. Since God’s living words work mightily through them, God’s everlasting kingdom descends very near to them. Therefore the families would host these ambassadors of God with warm cordial love. They would feed these servants of God liberally. While parting they would whole heartedly meet their travel expenses.

But in certain houses, when they pronounce the word peace, the wicked people belonging to Satan, would never ever receive them. As the Son of peace is not there, the word peace will not reach them. It will bounce back to the men on mission. It is because the inmates of that particular house are like mirrors coated with mercury on the rear side. In such a mirror light is not able to pierce through, but it hits the mirror, reflects and comes back because the back side is blocked with an alloy of mercury. Similarly those who have blocked divinity with a dark curtain can not enjoy the peace that pours in. A glass not being blocked by mercury is able to cleanly penetrate and pass through the rays of light to brighten the dwellers of the house. Those who languish in the dark lacking mental peace, hear the message, become happy, lend a welcoming ear, receive the words and keep them protected in their hearts, just as the light intensifies the brightness.

The labourer is worthy of his wages. He who works hard is fit for a reward, because they are God’s stewards. Those who heard their messages respond by taking care of the messengers’ personal needs. Thus they are rewarded as they laboured for God. None has gone unrewarded. That is why Jesus has promised His apostles that ‘a worker is worthy of his food’ (Luke10:7).

Our Lord beautifully takes care of those who receive His peace. They get healed of their diseases and live with His blessings. Yet, when they forget His abundant blessings and go astray in evil ways He gets wrathful. A school teacher gets angry with a boy who does not study well. He asks him to memorise and reproduce what he learnt and says that he will be flogged if he does not learn properly. He beats the boy just to make him learn. In the same way our Father God gets furious when His children deviate from the right ways. He places them in the accuser’s box and conducts a judicial enquiry exactly like a judge in the court.

THERE IS FORGIVENESS TO THOSE WHO CONFESS

THEIR SINS

God forgives those who accept their sins and confess them penitently. He who covers his sins is sure to be punished. But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. He examines whether you obey His commandments, do justice and take action to bring God’s kingdom on Earth. His judgement is executed how it was done with the Israelites. Those who have disobeyed His laws, commandments and statutes are pardoned when they promise to practice a renewed humble and obedient life. The others are inflicted by severe disciplinary action. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

My dear children of God, in which category are you found? If the words of God have worked in and moved your heart, intercede with God in prayer and receive total cleansing and forgiveness. Give a positive assertion to God that from now on you will truly heed to all His ordinances to the minutest detail. Then He will eternally be with you and fill you with His infinite grace, riches, a quiet spirit and all the good gifts of life. He will certainly bless you.

Jesus healed all kinds of sicknesses and diseases; the lame walked; the defective organs in the body were recreated. Despite observing all these mighty miracles of Jesus, the Pharisees not caring to listen to the deep truths found in the miracles, held consultations with the scribes and the whole council to plot for His murder. Jesus perceived this and withdrew Himself and moved away. But the multitude that followed Him were all healed. He sternly warned them that they should not make Him known. It is because He performed miracles only through the authority that was imparted to Him from God, the Father. Therefore the glory that resulted through the miracles was of the Father. Because Christ Jesus humbled Himself taking the form of a servant, did not choose to be praised by humanity. He disliked being publicly proclaimed.

Using the name of Christ, after the miracles are completely performed, the man who projects himself as the key hero of this wholesome success or glorifies the institution that he belongs to, is not a sincere steward. Whatever is attempted for self glory is antagonistic to his Creator’s honour. This behaviour imposes handicap to the true ministry of God and people also lose track of the right path in this life.

Such self projecting leaders are like bruised reeds which break off and like smoking flax which quenches soon. They are foreigners to the close circle of God. A bruised reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench, till He sends forth justice to victory (Matthew 12:20). To correct and turn them towards Him, He shows mercy; He teaches them justice. Therefore the non believers also keep faith in God. They should also be fruitful.

BELIEVERS ARE FRUIT YIELDING VINE PLANTS

Jesus is the true vine. He is desirous that His disciples and believers should be always bearing plenty of fruits. His Father, God is the vine dresser. Jesus talks about two kinds of trees, fruit yielding one and the other is not bearing fruit. Every tree that does not bear fruit is cut down (Matthew3:10). He pronounces the final judgement. With the relationship of Jesus, if they are not able to bring glory to His Name, they are useless and He casts them out.

Those who have steadfast faith and love for Christ, are similar to fruit producing trees and they are full of life. Every branch of these trees that bears fruit, God prunes that it may bear more fruit. He cuts and throws down whatever that hinders the growth of the plant. The nature of the qualities that bring honour to God are through the fruits of the Spirit. They are love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also (James2:26).

After being totally forgiven by God and becoming a true believer, we should abide firmly on the words, commandments, laws and statutes of God. The branch can absorb its life to live, only from the stem of the plant. Likewise, when Christ’s life flows into the life of believers, they remain steadfast. In obedience to the Word of God, if they cleanse their lives, stand firm against sinning again and submit themselves wholly to Christ they can strongly abide in Him. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God (Romans 8:14).

As the branches of a vine tree abide in the stem, the believers also will abide in Christ. Those who do not abide in the Lord (the stem), are thrown into the fire. Those who dwell with Christ will be given a revived life and stay firm. Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? (I John 5: 1-5).

Everyone of us should be conquerors of the world, just as Jesus conquered the world. They are the people who receive eternal life And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. Now this is the confidence we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. (I John 5:11-15).

The secret of receiving answers to our prayers is the closeness between us and Christ Jesus. The indwelling of Christ with us gets intense to the extent of our meditation, Bible reading and our abiding in Him. The more we are knitted together in Christ, the more effective our prayers will be

“For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah are His pleasant plant. He looked for justice but behold, oppression; for righteousness, but behold, a cry for help” (Isaiah 5:7).

“Yet I had planted you a noble vine, a seed of highest quality. How then have you turned before Me into the degenerate plant of an alien vine?” (Jeremiah 2:21).

If the branch does not bear fruit, it is useless for being created as a branch. There is no other special activity for the branch as such. It should do only whatever the plant likes.

The plant (stem) will not be negligent about the branches, it bears. It takes great concern over the branches. So the branch submits itself under the great care it receives from the stem. The branch is being pruned and after this cleaning process, it becomes a special possession of the Father, the vinedresser. The branch magnifies the creator God. Hereafter, the branch need not bother about its own wellbeing. It is not necessary to put in hard labour for its achievements. What it needs is a perfect surrender.

Today, many dry branches are lying scattered waiting to be burnt up. But, they vainly imagine that they are safely attached to the plant and they feel much satisfied. In spite of revelations about their fruitless (dead) life, they do not seem to be conscious of it.

We are living in the last days so be prepare beloved people of God. You have to live as being branches that bear fruit always to gloriefy God as well as to give glory to Lord by do justly love mercy and walk humbly. Ready yourself to bring revivel among us

May GOD bless you in His richesly
